About Bulgari
Bulgari was founded in 1884 in Rome by Sotirio Bulgari, a Greek silversmith, and grew for decades as a jewellery house first. Watchmaking only became a serious, separate pursuit from the late 1990s and 2000s onward, when Bulgari acquired case- and dial-making specialists — including Gérald Genta and Daniel Roth's manufacturing operations in 2000 — and built its own high-complication manufacture in Le Sentier, Switzerland. LVMH acquired Bulgari in 2011.
